Changing lines

Once an object such as a line or circle has been created, the object can be

Before any object can be altered, it must firstly be selected. Selecting objects in Pro Desktop is a little different to most other graphics programs.

  • activate the sketch the object is drawn on

  • select the Select Lines tool

  • move the pointer over the object - the object is now prehighlighted and turns light blue

  • left mouse click the object - the object turns red - it is now selected

To select multiple objects

Resizing rectangles

Rectangles can be resized by using both the and pointers

The use of the pointer allows both length and width of the rectangle to be adjusted at once

The pointer not only allows the rectangle to be moved, it also allows the rectangle to be lengthened and shortened in one direction only

Resizing Squares

Once a square has been drawn by holding down the Shift key while being created, it will remain a square.

It is not possible to adjust only one dimension of the square.

Resizing circles and ellipses

  • select the circle/ellipse as described above

  • move the pointer near the circumference of the circle/ellipse until it turns to

Resizing splines

Splines are different from other objects in that they consist of a number of interpolation points (indicated by black dots)

To move existing end points:

  • select the spline as described above

  • move the pointer near the end of the spline until it turns to

  • click and drag to move the end point

To move points not at the end of the spline:

  • click and drag to add a new point to the end of the spline

To add more points inside of the spline

  • select the spline as described above

  • click the spline tool
  • move the pointer between the large black points of the spline until it turns to
