Standard Holes

Standard holes provide a quick accurate method to create complex holes.

Preparation

Standard holes require solid material to be removed. Thus the first step in preparation is to create a model

  • select the surface that the holes are to be applied to

  • add a new sketch to the selected surface, giving it an appropriate name

  • draw circles on the new sketch to indicate the centre of the holes

  • from the Features menu select Insert Holes

  • click on the tab which represents the type of hole required

  • make the settings required for the type of hole
