Deleting rows columns and Tables

Removing a row, column or table is not as simple as selecting and pressing the delete key. Pressing the delete key simply deletes the contents of the cell.

Deleting a row or column

As with most operations in Microsoft Word, there are several ways that a column or row may deleted.
The simplest method is probably:

  • place the cursor in the row or column to be deleted
  • from the table menu select Delete
  • select either Rows or Columns from the menu

Alternatively, as show to picture the right:

  • right mouse click
  • select Delete Column or Delete Rows as appropriate
