Overview

On many occasions information is more clearly understood when it is presented in a table.

Tables organise information into columns and rows of cells.

They can be used to align text, numbers and pictures in columns and then sort them.

An example of a Microsoft Word table is shown below.

Tables are so important in Microsoft Word that the program has devoted a menu to them as shown to the right.
