Paragraphs can be aligned in one of four ways as shown below. Each method has its advantages and uses as described in the example.

Paragraph Alignment	Toolbar Icon	Keyboard Shortcut
Left		Ctrl + L
Centre		Ctrl + E
Right		Ctrl + R
Justified

To align one paragraph

• place the cursor inside the paragraph
• either click on the toolbar icon or use the keyboard shortcut

To align multiple paragraphs

• select the paragraphs to be aligned
• either click on the toolbar icon or use the keyboard shortcut
