Overview The operations of cutting, copying, pasting and deleting are the same in concept in word processing as they are in other programs. |

Cutting is the operation of removing selected material. The selected material is placed onto the clipboard (into the memory of the computer) ready to be pasted into another place. To cut Text or Object
|

Copying is the operation of taking a copy of the selected text or object. The copy is placed onto the clipboard (into the memory of the computer) ready to be pasted into another place. To copy Text or Object:

Pasting is the operation of inserting the material that placed onto the clipboard by copying or cutting. The material is inserted where the cursor is positioned. To paste Text or Object

Deleting is the operation of completely discarding the selected material.
Deleting is achieved by selecting
the material and pressing the delete key. Microsoft Word does allow
you to undo a mistaken deletion by clicking the undo icon |

Download and save the Microsoft Word the two files Pigs_Day1.doc and Pigs_Days2and3.doc. Follow the the instructions in Pigs_Days2and3. It may be worthwhile reviewing methods for selecting text.
